Across high-profile events focused on the circular economy, innovation, mobility, and next-generation materials, Ohoskin® emerged as one of the most compelling sustainable material innovations coming out of Italy.

Our participation highlighted how Ohoskin®’s bio-based material, born from orange and cactus by-products, is rapidly becoming a reference point for companies seeking high-performance, sustainable alternatives for fashion, mobility and design. Throughout the event, Ohoskin® engaged with innovation leaders, corporates and investors who are actively exploring new-generation materials capable of combining aesthetics, durability and a significantly lower environmental footprint.
SMAU also represented an important moment of visibility for the Sicilian innovation ecosystem. For Ohoskin®, it was an opportunity to reconnect with institutions and partners who supported the company’s early development, while meeting new stakeholders interested in adopting sustainable materials that can be scaled globally. The strong interest received confirmed how the market is increasingly looking toward Italian deep-tech solutions that transform local resources into industrial-ready circular materials.
Midway through the month, Ohoskin® participated in the Motor Valley Accelerator EXPO 2025, one of Italy’s key showcases for mobility, industry-ready technologies and materials innovation.
The event brought together investors, corporate partners, automotive leaders and the new generation of startups shaping sustainable mobility.
For Ohoskin®, this EXPO holds a special significance, it was within the Motor Valley Accelerator ecosystem that we met our first institutional investors, the partners who believed in the potential of our material to scale across fashion, design and mobility.
The conversations in Modena demonstrated once again that OEMs and suppliers are actively seeking premium alternatives to leather with lower carbon footprints, and Ohoskin® is positioned to meet that demand.
On 21 November, Ohoskin® CEO Adriana Santanocito received the Semplicemente Donna International Award, recognising impactful initiatives in sustainability and female-led innovation.
