Some innovations are born from uncomfortable questions.
For Ohoskin®, that question was simple and disruptive at the same time: what happens to the materials industries discard every day?
In Southern Italy, the citrus industry generates tons of by-products every year. For decades, orange peels and processing residues were treated as waste, a logistical problem, a cost to manage, something to dispose of as quickly as possible.

From orange waste to industrial material
Turning orange by-products into an industrial material was never a symbolic exercise or a marketing statement.
It was a long, hands-on process made of experimentation, failed tests, discarded formulations, and deliberate industrial decisions.
The goal was not to simply create a “sustainable” alternative.
The goal was to be credible in sectors where performance, durability, and aesthetics are non-negotiable.
Ohoskin® was developed to meet the technical and aesthetic expectations of brands operating in fashion, interiors, and automotive. It is designed to be processed, cut, sewn, and used like a premium material, while offering a responsible alternative to conventional options.

Ohoskin® at FAI AGRUMI, Milan
On January 24–25, we’ll bring this story to Milan, at Villa Necchi Campiglio, during FAI AGRUMI.
A space far from trade fairs, yet perfect to talk about raw materials, process and purpose.
📌 Saturday, January 24 at 2:00 PM
On Saturday, January 24 at 2:00 PM, co-founder Stefano Mazzetti will host the talk “The orange you don’t expect: from by-product to premium material”.
Talk: the orange you don’t expect
The talk offers a direct and honest account of how Ohoskin® was built, from early experimentation to industrial validation, addressing real challenges, technical limits, and strategic choices.
It is not a romantic story, but an industrial one.
A story about responsibility, material innovation, and long-term vision.

See, touch, and purchase Ohoskin® products
Throughout both days, visitors will also be able to see, touch, and purchase bags made with Ohoskin®, designed by Monica Zuccheri.
These are not prototypes.
They are finished objects, meant to be worn and lived with, the tangible result of a journey that starts with Sicilian orange by-products and ends in contemporary design.
An invitation to experience material innovation
Ohoskin® FAI AGRUMI is an open invitation to curious minds, design students, material enthusiasts, and anyone who believes innovation should be tangible.
Come experience the material firsthand.
Meet the people behind it.
And take home a bag made from Sicilian oranges.
